my favorite plant based cookbooks

I love cookbooks! I have tried using apps but I must be old fashioned as I keep coming back to buying actual books. Our library has an incredible cook book section and I love spending endless hours perusing the shelves and checking out new ideas and recipes. Here are some of my favorite cookbooks - most of my recipes on my blog are taken from these books.

Enjoy!

The Plant Based Cookbook by Deliciously Ella

I love everything about Ella Woodward. I think she holds a special place in my heart as she is British and reminds me of home! I love listening to her podcast and especially love the fact that she is making plant based food mainstream and accessible for all. Ella has a great website, app and a range of cooks books. A new cookbook has just been released.

Oh She Glows Every Day by Angela Liddon

This was my first plant based cookbook and I still love it! Angela’s dessert recipes are amazing. I have literally made all the cookie and dessert recipes in this book and everyone loves them. The Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie is to die for! Angela has a great blog, app and a new cookbook is just coming out.

My New Roots & Naturally Nourished by Sarah Britton

Sarah’s cookbooks are beautiful and inspiring. They take plant based cooking to a whole new level incorporating interesting ingredients and unique combinations and flavors. Sarah also has a great blog and website.

The Blue Zones Kitchen by Dan Buettner

A visually stunning book and inspiring read with unique and great recipes. I love the philosophy of this book. If you are interested in how people eat in the Blue Zones (the areas of the world where people live the longest), then this is the book for you.

The Superfood Juices & Smoothies by Tina Leigh

If you want to incorporate superfoods into your morning smoothies, then this book will give you lots of great information as well as innovative and tasty recipes.
