Retreat Center

Mar de Jade is a 45 bedroom wellness retreat center nestled into a jungle covered hillside. There is an on-site spa, outside covered dining area overlooking the beach, swimming pool, jacuzzi, cold plunge pool and beachside bar (open all day). There are 4 different yoga spaces, a communal lounge as well as pool and beachside lounge chairs. WIFI is available in the communal spaces. Rooms include private bathrooms, ceiling fans and AC.

Location

Mar De Jade is located 90 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta in the village of Chacala. Chacala is the most pristine and picturesque bay in the Riviera Nayarit, with golden sand, coconut trees, and palapa (thatched-roof) restaurants along the shore, surrounded by tropical jungle mountainsides. Home to approximately 400 residents, the town’s unhurried lifestyle is complemented by the welcoming and friendly attitude of locals. The taxi ride from Puerto Vallarta airport is easy to coordinate. We will work with the on-site concierge to coordinate shuttles as needed and try to coordinate flight times. Shuttle rates will be dependent upon group size and airport.

Food

Mar de Jade meals are prepared with great care, attention and love using fresh and healthy ingredients mainly from their 17-acre organic farm. The retreat includes 3 meals a day served buffet style in the open-air dining room overlooking the ocean. Every dish is made daily from scratch using fresh ingredients from their Organic Farm. The menu is inspired by traditional Mexican cuisine and international flavors, and features vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dishes as well as fresh fish, seafood and, chicken. Mar de Jade does not serve red meat or pork. Throughout the day visit the snack bar at any time to enjoy coffee, tea, fruit, bread, and our stellar homemade organic peanut butter and mango marmalade. You can even purchase a jar to take home with you! During the week, we will visit the organic farm and see where our food is being grown.
